SubSquad ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SubSquad mobile application and the website at subsquad.io (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. No account required
SubSquad does not require you to create an account. No name, email address, or password is collected when you use the app. You can start using SubSquad immediately without providing any personal information.
2. Information stored on your device
Team and player data. Teams, player names (first name and last initial only), position eligibility, game time records and match history are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
App settings. Your preferences such as sport, match format and alert settings are stored locally on your device.
3. Information we may collect
Usage data. We may collect anonymised usage information such as device type, operating system version, app version and which features are used. This data contains no player names or team information and is used only to improve the app.
Support communications. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to help resolve your issue.
4. Children's data
SubSquad is for coaches and team managers of junior sport teams. Player records in the app may include the names of children, stored as first name and last initial only. Because all data stays on your device, we do not collect or have access to any player information.
The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. The only circumstances in which information may be shared:
- Service providers. We use third-party providers for app analytics and website hosting. These providers receive only anonymised usage data and operate under confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
6. Removing your data
Because your team and player data is stored only on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting teams or players within the app, or by deleting the app from your device. There is no server-side account to delete.

7. Security
Your team data never leaves your device, which means it is not at risk from server-side breaches. We use HTTPS for all website and analytics traffic.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we may hold is support email correspondence. To exercise any rights, contact us at privacy@subsquad.io.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
